This presentation will cover the topics required to obtain more accurate and timely proposals from bid participants. Aimed at Architects and Designers who prepare construction bid documents, this presentation points out how the information should be presented to the contractors, phrases/words to avoid using, the Five “Cs” in preparing bid documents, and how and when to use allowances.  A handout covers John’s ten tips on “How to receive Better and Closer bids on your Projects”.

Aimed at Subcontractors, this presentation discusses the appropriate bid format, specific  information to include and how the bid documents should be presented to General Contractors.  It also covers the important use of a “Scope Letter” and how it can be used to win more subcontracts.
